Privacy Policy
The short version: Speed Heroes Family doesn't collect, upload or share any personal information. The photos you turn into characters stay on your device.
There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts, and the app never connects to the internet.
What the app collects
Nothing. Speed Heroes Family has no account system, shows no ads, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code from us or anyone else. The whole game is built into the app and plays offline; it doesn't send anything to us or to anyone else.
Photos, drawings and the camera
In the Character Studio you can take a photo or pick a picture to turn into a game character. Here's exactly what happens to it:
- The camera turns on only when you tap "Take a photo", and the app asks your permission first. Pictures you pick come from Apple's photo picker, which shares only the picture you choose.
- Finding the person, cutting them out of the background, finding the face and the body's joints all happen on your device, using Apple's built-in Vision technology. The picture is never uploaded.
- When you save a character, its picture is kept in the app's own storage on your device. If you don't save it, it's thrown away.
- We never see your photos or characters, and they're never used for anything except showing your characters in the game.
You can delete a character in the Character Studio at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of its characters. Characters can also be seen in the Files app (On My iPhone or On My iPad > Speed Heroes), so you can move them between your own devices yourself if you want to.
What stays on your device
The app remembers your characters, your settings (music, sound effects, Easy mode, which hero and boss you picked) and your progress (Star Gems and medals found). These are saved on your device only. The app never sends them anywhere, we can't see them, and they're deleted when you delete the app.
Like any app's data, they can be included in your own device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
Information Apple shares with developers
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us crash reports and overall statistics, such as how many people downloaded the app. Apple gathers these, not the app, and they don't tell us who you are. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Speed Heroes Family is made for families and young players. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. We suggest a grown-up helps younger children take photos for their characters.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date before the change takes effect.
